Canam Canada’s Project of the QuarterThe Niagara Falls Convention & Civic Centre wins top honours for the first quarter of 2010
The Niagara Falls Convention & Civic Centre project earned Canam Canada’s Project of the Quarter award for the first quarter of 2010. Located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, this project covers a surface area of 280,000 square feet (26,013 m2) and consists of more than 1,540 tons of steel joists, joist girders, trusses and steel deck. The components were fabricated in the Mississauga, ON, Boucherville, QC and St. Gédéon, QC plants and delivered from September to December 2009. The customer, steel fabricator Better Iron Works Ltd., will receive a framed photograph of the project as an expression of Canam’s appreciation.
