CISC-Quebec honors Canam Canada, Structal-Bridges and Marcel Dutil

The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction-Quebec Region handed out its 2007 Awards of Excellence on November 1st at the Science Center in Montreal. CISC-Quebec paid tribute to the Quebec teams behind 13 construction projects. Canam Canada and Structal-Bridges were presented with awards for winning projects or projects that earned honourable mention.

Award in the “Panel’s choice” category: CGC Shed, Montreal, QC
The team behind the CGC Shed project, a gypsum powder warehouse located at the Port of Montreal, was recognized for its use of steel in the unique architectural design that characterizes this building. The steel solution provided by Canam Canada required the fabrication by Canam of more than 450 tons of joists, joist girders, purlins, girts and steel deck.
